The BREATHE-Africa Partnership brings African researchers
both leaders and trainees, together with experts in all key aspects of household air pollution research

 

Household air pollution, caused by the use of biomass fuel for cooking, heating and lighting is putting 3 billion people worldwide at risk of ill-health and premature death 

 
The BREATHE Partnership is jointly funded by the UK Medical Research Council (MRC) and the UK Department for International Development (DFID) under the MRC/DFID Concordant agreement. Funding was awarded to the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine who manage the Partnership.
