 General statement

This privacy policy sets out how Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) uses and protects any information that you give us when responding to surveys about the Research in Focus Workshop held on the 8th December 2018 as part of the Global Health Film Festival 2018

 LSTM is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and will only process personal data in accordance with the current data protection legislation which from 25 May 2018 will be the General Data Protection Regulations. Any personal information you provide to us will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

 Purpose

The purpose of this collection is to assess the efficacy of the workshop and how future similar workshops might be improved. We may also use evidence in the form of statistics and anonymous quotes to report public engagement activity.

 What information is being collected & what is the legal basis for collecting the data?

We will collect name, email and role.

The legal basis for collecting this information is that it is: ‘Required for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest’

 Who is collecting it?

LSTM is collecting this information to administer the survey.

 How is the information collected?

The information will be collected via an on-line survey tool.

 How the information is being used, stored and protected?

The sole purpose of collecting this information is to evaluate the Research in Focus Workshop. Data will be stored on the LSTM secure cloud service. We ensure that our systems are secure, password protected and backed up regularly.

 Who will the information be shared with?

We will share the data with Handstand Productions in the process of evaluating the workshop.

 Retention of data and updating your information

We will retain the data for 3 months to allow time to produce a report on the Workshop.(No personal data will be included in the report.)
